Bringing together the complete collection of poetry-garments in purpose-built structures designed in collaboration with architectural collective common room, this presentation of "The Incomplete Poem" put shanzhai T-shirt phrases in conversation with Lower East Side legacies of immigration, worker advocacy, shifting notions of property and the flattening of linguistic landscapes that often characterizes processes of gentrification and displacement. The structures took cues from different information modes: scroll, runway, laundry, heap, newspaper, billboard, and stage.
A closing night roving performance featured Yuchen Chang, Edwin Torres, manuel arturo abreu, Alex Schmidt, and David Xu Borgonjon.
Accompanied by the publication of a guest edited edition of community newspaper common circular published by common room.

In garbled coded letters from afar, these lyrics convey the mashed-up experiences and contradictory narratives of longing, desire, exile, and estrangement. A neighborhood is a loom that through tension and contact constructs a shared tapestry. Follow the threads: in the meeting of tongues, new words articulate and construct new worlds. Printed on the occasion of "AIL PALACES ARETEMPORARY HALACES," Abrons Arts Center, NY, USA.
